There are four pre-requisite courses that we are asking all professionals to attend:
- September 7, 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM: The Weather Isn’t What It Used to Be: Separating Fact from Fiction about Climate Change
- September 8, 9:00 AM to 12:00 AM: Risks Around Us: Learning which Climate Risks are Important to Manage and How
- September 9, 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM: Making Dollars and Sense of Climate Change: Economic Aspects of Adaptation
- September 10, 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM: But It’s so Cold Outside! How to Speak Effectively About Climate Change
In addition, there are four stream-specific modules and attendees may choose which ones are the most applicable to their profession:
- September 13, 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM: Water: Too Much of Too Little to Manage (This session will likely be of the most interest to your members, and therefore I have attached that brochure here but anyone is free to attend these sessions)
- September 14, 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM: Building Climate Resilient Infrastructure: Using PIEVC to Understand and Manage Climate Impacts
- September 15, 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM: Feeding Alberta into the Future: Adapting Agriculture to Changing Climate (This session will likely be of the most interest to your members, and therefore I have attached that brochure here but anyone is free to attend these sessions)
- September 16, 9:00 AM to 12 PM: Stronger Together: Planning Climate-Resilient Communities
