The Federation of Canada's Professional Chemists (FCPC) is launched.
The Federation of Canada's Professional Chemists / Fédération des chimistes professionnels du Canada (FCPC) was officially launched on June 1, 2014 in Vancouver, BC.
The founding members of the FCPC include The Association of the Chemical Profession of British Columbia (ACPBC), The Association of the Chemical Profession of Alberta (ACPA), The Association of the Chemical Professsion of Saskatchewan (ACPS), the Association of the Chemical Profession of Ontario (ACPO), L'Ordre des chimistes du Québec (OCQ) and the Nova Scotia Chemists Society (NSCS).

The Federation will promote consistency in the regulation of professional chemists in Canada, enable transferability of professional chemists between jurisdictions and improve communication and cooperation between the professional organizations. The complete founding document is available here.
