The Association of the Chemical Profession of Alberta is the governing body for the professional affairs of Professional Chemists in the Province of Alberta. As the sole alliance and voice of Professional Chemists in Alberta, the ACPA provides our members with:

Recognition

The Professional Chemist (P.Chem.) title demonstrates to everyone that you are a qualified, practicing chemist who continues to upgrade your skills and knowledge.

Fellowship

The ACPA provides opportunities to network with your peers and share ideas and other news about the profession and the practice of chemistry.

Pride

The 'P.Chem.' title says you are a true professional, and are deserving of due respect and recognition. Use the title with pride.

Growth

The ACPA provides workshops and seminars in support of our members' lifelong learning. The ACPA will help you advance your skills and knowledge to keep ahead of rapidly changing needs and technology.

Opportunity

ACPA members have mobility across Canada through reciprocal agreements established with other provincial professional chemist associations. As well, your professional designation helps highlight your qualifications when advancing your career.

Benefits

ACPA member benefits include, for example, no-fee self-directed RRSPs with BMO Nesbitt-Burns. New benefits are added regularly.
